Uthongathi FC have made decisions on former Absa Premiership stars Siyabonga Nomvethe, Thanduyise Khuboni, Siyanda Zwane and Issa Sarr.
The GladAfrica Championship side has opted to extend the quartet's contracts until the end of the current season as they look to win promotion.
"We are having a meeting with management to look at things like that so we can send it back to the League," club official Nkosinathi Chili tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"But I can tell you, no player will be released. That decision will be made once the season is over and we know where we will be competing."
Chili says The Cane Cutters are looking to finish the season with all the players whose contracts came to an end this week.
"There's no need to release anyone and no one has told us they want to leave now," he adds.
"It's not a secret that some players will join other clubs but we will discuss that when the time comes."
Uthongathi started group training today after the PSL gave teams the go-ahead to start preparing for the resumption of the football season.
