Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Khuzwayo rejects Khune comparison MTN8 Final Orlando Pirates

Khuzwayo proved his worth in goal for Amakhosi last night to help them lift their first piece of silverware for the season as well as stretch their winning streak to 10 matches.

However, the 24-year-old has credited his teammates for their support and encouragement and says he needs to work hard as an individual and forget about comparisons.

“Coming into the match, I was prepared to fight as an underdog having to replace Itu [Khune]. Obviously he’s the best in South Africa and I look up to him – he is my role model,” says the reserve keeper.

“I had to do my best as an individual, not as in comparing myself to him, or the opposite way around. I must do my work and try to be more focused on getting good results for the team,” he adds.
