Parker, who had surgery in the off-season, most recently featured as a substitute in Chiefs' MTN8 Final win over Orlando Pirates at the weekend.
After the Derby, Parker was seen with an ice-pack on his right ankle. The former Thanda Royal Zulu man, however, has allayed fears he could be facing another spell on the sidelines.
"No, it's not an injury. I'm just icing it up so to stop the swelling," confirmed Parker.
"Since the ankle has not been active for long, the muscles get a little bit sore but it's natural."
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old accepts it will be tough for him to regain a starting place given his side's 10-match winning streak.
"It's football and the guys are doing the job. The coach [Stuart Baxter] even said to us it's up to us to work our way back by getting into the team.
"We are strong on the bench and me and 'Shabba' [Siphiwe Tshabalala] and Morgan [Gould]. It's normal in football, it happens. It's up to us to work hard.
"Every time we get a chance to play we give a hundred percent."
Regarding their cup triumph in Durban, he added: "Good for the team, good for the guys and a good start for us ahead of the upcoming League games and cups as well."
Amakhosi, the log leaders, next host Maritzburg United in the Absa Premiership on Saturday - the same team they will face in their Telkom Knockout opener in October.
