Kannemeyer: Chiefs stand no chance against 'Downs!

Decorated former defender David Kannemeyer bullishly says Kaizer Chiefs have "no chance" of beating Mamelodi Sundowns in Saturday's highly-anticipated MTN8 semi-final clash at FNB Stadium.

Kannemeyer represented both clubs with distinction on his way to becoming one of the most decorated players in the modern day PSL era.

"Sundowns are on a different level, the league is gone already, and now they are looking to add the MTN8," Kannemeyer tells KickOff.

"They will win at the weekend.

"Kaizer Chiefs have no chance, if you look at the two squads, Sundowns are far ahead. I don't see Chiefs beating them, in my opinion.

"There's just too much quality in that Sundowns side.

"I think it's going to a while for Chiefs to gel as a team with their new players.

"Look at who Sundowns let go and who they've brought in, they fit automatically into that puzzle.

"But with Chiefs, you can see they are all over the place, it's going to take a while for them to gel and become a team.

"When Sundowns played Chiefs in the league recently, it was early in the season, but now they have found their rhythm.

"I think the score will be 3-1 to Sundowns. Chiefs is my former club as well, but Sundowns are on a different level.

"I think if they allow Ntseki the time to work with the team, they will do well.

"Supporters are already throwing projectiles as they don't understand what it takes for a new coach to get the best out of his players in a new team."
