The Bafana Bafana international is confident Komphela's knowledge of United will serve them well in midweek.

"Maritzburg United is a tough team to play home and away. We need to be ready on Wednesday.

"Our coach knows how Maritzburg United play. We have been working on what we know."

'Yeye' insists the Carling Black Label Cup loss to Orlando Pirates has not severely dented morale at Naturena.

"The loss on Saturday didn't bring us down that much. We wanted to check how far we are in terms of preparation."

The Glamour Boys claimed the MTN8 and Absa Premiership titles under former coach Stuart Baxter in 2014/15.

Amakhosi will begin the defence of their League crown against Chippa United in Port Elizabeth on August 9.
