Ncikazi has a plan for Komphela in MTN8

The former Team of Choice assistant and head coach come up against each other at FNB Stadium tomorrow night, and Ncikazi is backing his team’s chances of a major upset.

"I have one or two tricks up my sleeve and I'm sure he's worried about what’s going to happen considering his team didn’t win in Swaziland in the King’s Cup or in the Carling Cup,” Ncikazi says.

"[For us] playing as the underdog against such a big team, maybe it is an advantage. I can't take anything away from them, they are the PSL and MTN8 champions and the biggest team in Africa, but let's wait and see."

The former Durban Stars coach says he and Komphela have not seen much of each other lately, but that they do still talk every now and again.

"We talked about all our issues, but lately we're avoiding talking about the match, maybe for strategic reasons, I don't know. We're not talking about what will happen on the day," Ncikazi says.

Meanwhile, it looks unlikely that Maritzburg will unleash Evans Rusike in the game. The new striker is yet to receive his work-permit, but defender John Paintsil has received his papers and is available for the game.
