Left-back Thabo Matlaba and strikers Kermit Erasmus and Thamsanqa Gabuza are nursing hamstring complaints, while defender Rooi Mahamutsa has been battling with an Achilles problem.

"Obviously the major concern for me is fatigue at this stage. We have tried to rest players as much as we could and at every opportunity," says Tinkler.

"We just came back from a long trip to Tunisia, Thabo Matlaba picked up a hamstring injury during the game. Kermit Erasmus at training picked up a hamstring injury.

"We rested him for two days, we rested the rest of the squad for two days.

"We did the final assessment on Kermit Erasmus at the FNB Stadium and he was still feeling the pain and that was a major concern."

With Gabuza sustaining a knock at Soccer City, Lehlohonolo Majoro is the only recognised striker registered to compete against Sfaxien.

"When Gabuza went down in the first half I wanted to take off Majoro straight away. He is the only player left as a striker in the CAF Confederation Cup and that comes as a matter of concern," says Tinkler.

The former Bafana Bafana midfielder is now considering registering new signing Tendai Ndoro for the continental tournament.
