AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz has revealed the lessons learned from his side's MTN8 final loss to Orlando Pirates on Saturday night.
In a physical encounter in the early stages, Monnapule Saleng's well executed free-kick for Pirates in the first-half proved to be the difference between the sides, as the Soweto giants were crowned champions.
The Usuthu tactician was no too pleased with the showing in the opening 45 minutes, but did note the improvement in the second stanza.
"I think we did a poor first half, it was much better in the second one, we were able to be on the ball much more and create more chances," Folz told SuperSport TV.

"I regret that the fact that game was stopped, to my watch 12 minutes but even if you don't consider that the first-half from our side not good enough.
"We were not active enough on the ball to try to create situations where we can put them in trouble in their half, so I think the second-half was much better, if we were able to do two halves like the second half it probably gives different results.
"I think a draw would have been a fair result honestly if you look at the content of the game itself but congratulations to Pirates, next time we play them we will try to be the better team."
The French coach explained what lessons his team should take going forward.
"There's always good lessons you can take from any game like this one and all the other ones, this one the lesson we should take I would say we must be more consistent in our performance," he added.
"We cannot afford to only play one half like we did today, fortunately that's something that's easy to see and identify but it takes time to fix because the physical aspect also plays a part, so ja I think that's the lesson we should learn for today."
