The striker did the unexpected in January when he left Stars, a club he only joined at the beginning of the season, for ex-employers Chippa, with the two sides to lock horns on Saturday.
"Well, I was not expecting this but obviously I'm looking forward to Saturday's game against Free State Stars," Manqele tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Yes, it came to soon but there's nothing we can do about it at the moment, we just have to go there and make sure we get the results and move on to the next round. Obvious (sic) it won't be easy because Free State Stars, they are a hard-working team and it won't be a walk in the park.
"Just like when I was still at Free State Stars we played against Chippa and I scored, and it's not easy playing against Chippa but so far I've prepared well and am looking forward to Saturday's game."
Manqele, who had two spells with Ea Lla Koto, has indicated he will celebrate should he find the back of the net on Saturday against the team that made him.
"(laughs) I'm still thinking about it but I think I will celebrate. This thing of players not supposed to celebrate against their former teams, me I don't know where it comes from but as for me I will celebrate once I score. I am so prepared for this game, I'm just waiting for Saturday's kick-off. Next week on the 17th we play them again in the league, so we've got two crucial games against them."
The game at Goble Park will kick off at 15h30.
