EC Bees goalkeeper Khanya Mini wants to play for Orlando Pirates in future

Mini was named man of the match after he pulled off a series of great saves in the last 16 match against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus stadium last night.

Bees scored first, but the experienced Sundowns side came back in the second half to register a 2-1 victory.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper believes his team’s performance against Sundowns will open many opportunities for his teammates to make a move up to the top flight.

"Playing against Sundowns does not need any motivation, it's a motivation on its own. I am happy with the way we played against the former African Champions.

"This will go a long way to boost our confidence when we go back to participate in the ABC Motsepe League. We are 15 points behind the log leaders. I don't think we still have opportunity to win the league but with God anything is possible," he adds.

Mini earned himself R5000 with his man of the match award, but he has not decided how he will spend the money.

"I have not decided how I am going to spend the money because I didn't expect to win the man of the match award," he says.
