Free Agents were established in 2018, some three years after the Soweto giants last won silverware.
They were founded by Olaitan Oladeru, with the goal of helping players who are without clubs.
Initially, the team primarily played friendly matches against higher-division sides and participated in various tournaments.
"We have a league match today at 18:00, which we are using as preparation for the weekend game. Currently, we are in 14th place after 18 matches," Oladeru details to KickOff.com.
"When this team was formed, we set ourselves several goals. Now, finding ourselves playing in the Nedbank Cup against Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium is one of those goals we've achieved.
"At the moment, the club's ABC Motsepe League status is owned by my wife, who runs a beauty spa, while I serve as the head coach.
"We have nothing to lose; we are playing against one of the best teams in the country. Our focus is to go all out against Chiefs.

"It's a true battle of David and Goliath. We are an amateur side, although some of my players have experience playing professionally.
"I believe we will beat Chiefs 2-0. We might just pull it off."
Kick-off is at 18:00.
