Royal AM head coach John Maduka has weighed in on the incident that led to Royal AM conceding a penalty against Kaizer Chiefs in their Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash on Sunday night.
Thwihli Thwahla's trophy ambitions for the season went up in smoke after falling to Kaizer Chiefs at the quarter-final stage of the cup competition on Sunday at Chatsworth Stadium.
The clash ended in a 2-1 defeat to the home side, underwhelming return for Thwihli Thwahla having opened the scoring through Lesego Manganyi within 30 minutes.
An own goal by AM's Thambo Matlaba allowed Chiefs back into the game and the two teams could not be separated in the normal 90 minutes.

The tie was settled in extra time through a Yusuf Maart spot kick after Royal AM goalkeeper Zakahle Ngcobo was adjudged to have fouled Chiefs' Mduduzi Shabalala inside the box when the teenager was through on goal.
"It was just [poor] decision making," Maduka told journalists.
"Because when the ball is played he [Ngcobo] thought maybe there was danger but there was no danger. [He could have] maybe just adjusted the position, get back to this good defensive position.
"Unfortunately, in football, if you make mistakes you get punished. So, maybe it was the wrong decision [to leave his goal] but it's one of things, it's one of those things [that] we could have done better."
Royal AM have a chance to bounce back when they meet TS Galaxy away on Saturday.
