Sredojevic responded, introducing Memela for Shonga, with Bucs firmly in control whilst Ajax chasing shadows.
Towards the closing stages, Thembinkosi Lorch found space on the right and ran through the defence but his shot was blocked following Mlambo’s exquisite assist.
Substitute Lyle Foster followed up with another clear-cut miss after being nicely set-up by Memela following a swift break attack.
The victory is sweet revenge for the Buccaneers following their 3-0 defeat two weeks ago, while they keep alive their hopes of silverware too.
