SuperSport United defeated GladAfrica Championship side Platinum City Rovers 1-0 to seal a spot in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals on Saturday night.
There was only one change from SuperSport's win over AmaZulu as Selaelo Rasebotja came in for Jamie Webber, while the veteran midfielder Oupa Manyisa started for the hosts.
It was an electrifying start in the opening seconds for United as the self-same Rasebotja beat one challenge in the danger area and slammed home a cutback from Iqraam Rayners.
Matsatsantsa should've grabbed a second ten minutes apart off a header by Thamsanqa Gabuza, but he was denied by the woodwork following a short corner-kick by Aubrey Ngoma.
Rovers conceded more chances minutes to the half-hour mark after Gabuza brought a long ball under control and looked for an acrobatic finish on the overhead in the six-yard area.

Matsatsantsa were all over their counterparts on the stroke of halftime and won a penalty through Ngoma, but Gabuza couldn't make the opportunity count and missed in the end.
Rovers applied a sense of renewed energy shortly after halftime and managed to fashion a shot from the edge of the area by Mbulelo Wagaba.
The Tshwane giants dusted off the slow spell and revived their onslaught on Rovers with a smart header from a corner by Keagan Johannes in the middle of the second half.
A fresh introduction albeit from the bench by United followed a few minutes later where Ngoma made way for the Zimbabwean Onismor Bhasera.
SuperSport's lacklustre display in front of goal continued in the latter periods, with Gabuza in particular and Ghampani Lungu left frustrated but it finished 1-0 in the end.
