The Premier Soccer League has apologised for the Park and Ride mess that occurred during the Nedbank Cup final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
Spectators were required to first park their vehicles at designated parking lots and then get shuttled to the stadium, but to everyone's surprise, the arrangement left fans scrambling to get inside the venue in time for the 'dream final'.

People were left to their own devices in terms of finding a way to the stadium.
This left most football fans frustrated and fuming as they could only gain access to the stadium in the second half, thanks to the confused Mpumalanga province traffic officers, who seemed clueless about what was happening around them.
Only a few people knew about the system that was going to be used on matchday as the information on the Park and Ride was only issued very late in the week.
PSL official professor Ronnie Schloss tried to explain to this publication what led to Saturday's mess.
Schloss says it was a collective decision by all stakeholders to use the Park and Ride system for the big match, as they were looking to avoid risks.
"It didn't work at all," Schloss admits, speaking to KickOff.com.
"A lot of people didn't use it because they came to the stadium unaware of the Park and Ride. And also the traffic department...
"But let's see, you know. In the future, if we have a big game, let's see how it works.
"For a Park and Ride to work, everybody knows exactly what he is doing. Like they do in the World Cup. It works perfectly there.

"We apologise to everyone for the delay they suffered, it's not the PSL's fault, we don't control the traffic. Put it that way.
"I don't know when the announcement about the Park and Ride came... I don't know when it was made. We apologise for the delays people suffered."
