The Premier Soccer League confirm dates, venues and times for Nedbank Cup last-16 fixtures

South Africa's biggest cup competition resumes in March and the country's footballing governing body have announced the match-day details.

“The Nedbank Cup last 16 round will be played over a period of six days, between 09 March and 14 March 2018," the PSL said in an official statement.

“The first fixture will be played on Friday, 09 March 2018 when a rejuvenated AmaZulu side goes head-to-head against one of the surprise packages Ubuntu Cape Town at King Zwelithini Stadium. Kick-off is at 20h00,” the PSL confirmed.

“On Saturday afternoon, two-time semi-finalists Baroka FC will welcome ABC Motsepe side Steenberg United to Peter Mokaba Stadium, while Free State Stars and Chippa United lock horns in an all-Premier Division clash at the Goble Park Stadium. Kick-off for both fixtures is at 15h30.

“Later on Saturday evening at 20h15, Kaizer Chiefs will play host to Stellenbosch FC at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. This will be a second successive meeting between the two sides in the Nedbank Cup. Last season, Kaizer Chiefs were 3-0 victors when the clubs met in the last 32 stage of the competition.

“Sunday afternoon will provide the setting for two mouth-watering contests in the form of the KZN Derby between Royal Eagles and Maritzburg United at Princess Magogo Stadium, as well as a clash between Bloemfontein Celtic and Richards Bay United at Dr Molemela Stadium. Both fixtures are scheduled to start at 15h30.

“The two remaining last 16 fixtures will be played the following week on Tuesday, 13 March and Wednesday, 14 March 2018. EC Bees will travel up to Tshwane to face two-time champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday night while Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates contest the last match on Wednesday night at the Cape Town Stadium in what is arguably the most anticipated fixture of the round of 16 stage. Both midweek fixtures will kick-off at 19h30.

“Ticketing information will be announced in due course.”
