The Serbian, who replaced the sacked Teboho Moloi at the club last weekend, is awaiting his work permit.
"Everything is okay. I am just waiting for my papers and hopefully I will get them today," Heric tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"I am happy with what I have seen at training. I like the attitude and hard work that the players have displayed so far since I arrived at the club.
"We have an injury-free and competitive squad for the game against Free State Stars."
Heric was serving as a technical director at National First Division side Royal Eagles before returning to Chippa, who are 12th in the Premiership standings with seven league games remaining.
The former Maritzburg United mentor ovesaw the Chilli Boys' promotion to the topflight in the 2013/14 season.
