After activating his two-year option, Makgaka was expected to stay at the club for at least another season.

The former Baroka FC star made only four appearances at the Buccaneers the whole of last season.

His agent, speaking to KickOff, explained that the exit was a mutual agreement.

"Orlando Pirates and Collins have agreed to mutually terminate his contract to allow Collins to find a new team and get back playing in the PSL," Makgaka's agent Kieran Brown tells KickOff.

"We hope to see Collins playing regularly in the PSL next season," the agent concluded.
