'As for skill he's got plenty' - Lekoelea advises Wolves-bound Mofokeng

Orlando Pirates legend Steve "Chippa" Lekoelea has issued some words of advice on the club's wonder-kid Relebohile Mofokeng who is currently on trial at a Premier League club.

The 18-year-old is currently undergoing trials at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mofokeng's good performances have seen him making 11 appearances in all competitions at Pirates so far this season.

Lekoelea says the young Mofokeng should not allow being homesick to make him take his eye off the ball.

"The first thing he must do is to look closely at their style of play and try as much as possible to adjust to it before he can do his stuff," Lekoelea tells KickOff.

"The English just want you to have a good movement and deliver a perfect cross and a perfect pass, that's all.

"If he impresses in those three things then pretty soon, he will be playing in one of the top leagues in the world.

"As for skill he's got plenty of it, but what's important in England is the pass, movement and being able to deliver good crosses.

"Over there you attack and defend. But I trust him, to him that's bread and butter.

"He will need a big heart though to make it over there because it's going to be a bit tough in the beginning.

"He must not entertain any thoughts of homesickness.

"It's a pity because there is no cure for being homesick. Once you allow it to creep into your mind you are finished. Home is home.

"Hence I'm saying he must try by all means to avoid thoughts about being homesick."

If he passes the trial, Mofokeng might find himself facing the likes of Lyle Forster who is currently with EPL side Burnley FC.
