Riveiro: It's not easy to explain

Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says it's not easy to explain his side's elimination in the Carling Knockout on Saturday.

The Buccaneers were edged 5-4 on penalties by the Natal Rich Boyz, who progressed to the semi-finals, after a goalless draw in extra-time.

Riveiro gave his thoughts on what they could have done better and said perhaps they lacked the confidence in front of goals.

"Not easy to explain again, 120 minutes with the ball, trying but not scoring and going to the penalties today we were not the lucky ones, congratulations to Richards Bay and try to think about the next one as soon as possible," Riveiro told SuperSport TV.

"Not many things that you can do better, it's about being a bit more confident maybe in the last minutes, it's an old story, I don't want to repeat myself.

"Like I said a few weeks ago, I think we're doing a lot of things very well but so far it's not enough to win the games.

"It's not easy to play against a low block for 120 minutes and I think we did a very good job but not putting the ball in the net, I think it's already said," he added.
