Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says their performance against AmaZulu deserved more than a point and believes they headed in the right direction.
Pirates could not replicate the performances they have demonstrated in domestic cup competitions, after a point at Usuthu only lifted them up to 13th in the DStv Premiership standings.
Riveiro says he feels positive despite the draw and suggested the only thing they missed was to put the ball in the back of the net.

"Disappointed with the result, obviously I think our performance deserved more than a nil-nil game, like I'm used to saying it's a scoring game and we didn't, so that's why we're running with only one point," Riveiro told SuperSport TV.
"We tried everything, I have a feeling we're doing a lot of things very well, that's something that makes me feel positive for the future, we're getting close to the space we want to be.
"Usually we (balance) the performance and the results (but) today we didn't score, that's probably the only thing we missed, the last touch to the net but I think everything else, there's not much to say," he said.
"It was a strange first half. I think it was something to do with the interruptions. When we were at our best the game was interrupted several times and we lost the tempo in the first half. And the second half we tried everything and we had chances but ja this is football."
The Buccaneers surprisingly substituted Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo late in the game after he came on as a second-half substitute and the Spanish coach explained his change, that he had an eyesight problem after he was hit by the ball on his face.
"I think it was the action close to the line, a clearance went straight into his eye and during seven, eight minutes on the field he only could use one of his eyes, so he was blind in the right eye and didn't improve after the treatment with the doctors and that's why we decided to sub him," he explained.
