Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has commended the defence after the 1-0 win over TS Galaxy on Saturday night.
Pirates won their fourth game in five DStv Premiership matches thanks to a first-half free-kick by Deon Hotto.
Riveiro admitted that they did not have a good start and could have been punished but he's happy they raised their game after conceding early chances.

"Interesting game, massive three points for us, two victories here at home. It's always difficult, we had a tactical game in the beginning, we didn't start well," Riveiro told SuperSport TV.
"One more time we concede two, three clear chances to the opponent, the game could change too early, fortunately Melusi (Buthelezi) and the defenders did a good job in the last actions.
"And little by little we started to get the control, scoring the goal in a free-kick, a beautiful one. I'm happy to get the three points but same story as usual in the second-half, more spaces to run, the opponent is open," he said.
"We had good chances on transitions, we didn't manage to double the lead and there's always moments that you're a bit afraid of the result but I don't think we did suffer too much, at least after ten minutes."
Pirates kept their fifth consecutive clean-sheet and the Spanish tactician carried and said it's a sign of a good team, as they are hard to break down.
"Defensively, the numbers are there. We're not an easy team to break, I hope that we can continue like that for many games, it talks very well of the work we're doing and the level of commitment of the guys when we're not in possession.
"It's a good signal, it's a signal of a competitive team, that's something we need to continue capitalizing because not conceding is something that will push you always close to wining the games," he added.
