Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has provided a positive update on Melusi Buthelezi ahead of their clash against Cape Town Spurs.
Buthelezi is back at training after surviving a car hijacking in Thokoza last week.
The Kwazulu Natal-born goalkeeper was driven around Gauteng where an undisclosed amount was allegedly withdrawn from his bank account during the ordeal. However, Buthelezi has dusted himself from the incident and is ready to compete for the number 1 jersey ahead of the DStv Premiership match against Spurs at the Orlando Stadium tonight.
Riveiro has revealed that Buthelezi has been looking good at training this week and is raring to go.
"He is back, he is okay, he is fit," Riveiro told the journalists at the Rand Stadium on Monday.
"He is in the safe space with us and that is what we trying to create.
"I am not talking about security, I am talking about his mental health, so we are trying, especially his teammates, to help him to be back 100 percent and as a coach what I can tell you is he is looking good and he is positive and trying to turn the page and move forward," he added.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are set to miss the services of defender Olisa Ndah for the match DStv premiership match against Cape Town Spurs after being nabbed with a yellow card suspension.
