Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is happy about the possibility of facing Mamelodi Sundowns with Thursday's 2024/25 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League draw looming large.
Sundowns beat Pirates 4-1 in a Betway Premiership match played in Tshwane about a fortnight ago.

Bucs might get a chance to avenge the defeat during the quarterfinals of the Champions League, with the draw for the continental competition set for Doha in Qatar on Thursday.
The two South African giants will be joined by Al Ahly, Al Hilal, AS FAR, Esperance, Pyramids, and MC Alger in the highly anticipated draw.
The quarterfinals are scheduled to get underway on April 1 with Pirates set to enjoy the privilege of a first leg away from home after finishing top of Group C without a loss.
"If it's Sundowns, it's gonna... we don't have to travel so far, so it can be good planning for both teams. We know each other very well. We're gonna play again on the 15th [March] as well.
"For me to make any comment about the possibility of the draw, we have our conversation among ourselves as technical staff [in terms of] which one could be better for the way we play football, more than anything else," said Riveiro, speaking to journalists after a 3-1 Nedbank Cup Last 16 win over Baroka FC at Orlando Stadium..

"If it Sundowns, it's going to be a big clash for the country, it's going to attract [a] lot of attraction one more time. Hopefully it's not this time, hopefully it is [a] little bit later in the competition. It could be much better for all of [us] if that game happens just at the end," he added.
Pirates and Sundowns are in the draw for the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals in Johannesburg this evening.
