Bucanneers DDC coach Joseph Makhanya emphasized the importance of young players moving to Europe early in their careers to further their development.
"I think they are ready because once there is interest from Europe that means they are doing well. But it's the team that has to make the call for these players because that's what we wish for them as coaches. We wish that they should progress and achieve their dreams which is we didn't achieve and play in Europe," Makhanya told KickOff.

The former Pirates winger added that these kind of moves will benefit the national team.
"As Barcelona in Spain and Rangers in Scotland are interested in these players, it's very good, but you know it also has to make business sense to the club.
"You know the process for the young players is also progress for the national team to have players in Europe. We saw it with Benni McCarthy when he went to Europe at a young age. Early moves to Europe is better for players to adjust and adapt to the environment. So yes, I think they are ready to go to Europe now," Makhanya concluded.
