Orlando Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe has opened up on his lack of playing time, having started just five matches for the Bucanneers this season and explains why he sympathises with coach Jose Riveiro.
After an inconsistent start to the season, the Buccaneers are gradually finding their footing, having collected three wins from their last five outings.
Makaringe has enjoyed a rare 90 minutes in the two matches, and the former Maritzburg United midfielder is thriving in a new role at right back for the Sea Robbers.

Speaking at the club's media open day on Thursday, Makaringe admitted that he would prefer to feature more often, but was sympathetic towards Jose Riveiro, who is inundated with options.
"We have a very supportive team. I'll be honest with you, if you were to see me each and every day, you would swear I'm the one who's playing week in, week out, because of the mood and the support that I get from my teammates and my family most importantly," Makaringe told journalists.
"So, I haven't been playing as much as I would have liked to be playing but I knew that the team is doing well.
"The guys are doing very well and we have 35 good players, imagine the stress that our coach has to go through and he can't please everyone at the same time.
"So, when you're not playing more important for you to support the others that are playing and I actually gathered that strength from my teammates.
