Orlando Pirates striker Tshegofatso Mabasa's entrance into the ranks of players with double figures on the scoring charts has placed him in contention for Bafana Bafana consideration.
Mabasa has moved up to 13 in all competitions for Pirates, becoming one of few players on the domestic scene to reach double figures last season and in the current campaign.

Last term, the 28-year-old ended on 19 goals, spending the first half of the season at Moroka Swallows, before returning to Pirates.
His 16 in the league meant he finished as the league's top scorer.
With Pirates still having another 15 league matches to play, that prize is still there for the taking for Mabasa, who has scored five in the league to date.
There is also the matter of Bafana, for which he still has hope.
Mabasa's international career has come with little joy, but with what he has done of late, he will hope Hugo Broos has taken note.
Bafana are back in action in March with 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin, and Broos is due to name his squad within the next two weeks.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic striker has also found his name thrown into possibilities of transfers with Al Ahly mentioned.
However, that is all dependent on Pirates, where he still has a contract until June 2026.
Mabasa has also moved into the top 10 all-time scorers list of those currently playing in the PSL.
