Gilberto back dancing while Chiefs man kept waiting

Gilberto has needed to do nothing special at Orlando Pirates to earn his return to the Angolan national team after missing out during the last FIFA calendar date.

The blonde-haired winger last played in the national team in June having also played in four of the five matches at the AFCON finals.

Then for the September dates he was ignored having just recently arrived at Pirates where he has been rather slow off the blocks.

From the five appearances that Gilberto has made he is yet to score or assist and has only played 90 minutes once – which was in the 1-0 CAF Champions League win over Jwaneng Galaxy at home.

Angola's coach Pedro Soares Goncalves has still found reason to recall Gilberto for the two AFCON qualifiers against Niger on October 11 and 15.

However, for another new Angolan in the league – Inacio Miguel, he has been kept waiting despite his explosive start to life at Kaizer Chiefs.

Just like Gilberto, Miguel joined from Petro Luanda and has previously played for Palancas Negras.

Miguel last got minutes almost a year ago when he came on as a substitute in a World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde.

The 28-year-old was a late call-up for the AFCON finals but didn't play.

He has featured in all three league games for Chiefs with a return of one goal.
