Orlando Pirates young gun Mohau Nkota has revealed a message from head coach Jose Riveiro ahead of his match-winning performance in a CAF Champions League clash against CR Belouizdad.

Debutant Nkota was the star of the show as he struck twice in the first half to put his side in the driving seat, before substitute fellow countryman Khanyisa Mayo pulled one back for the hosts in the second half.

Talk of a perfect debut.

The brace took the 20-year-old's overall goal tally to four across all competitions in what has been a sensational start to life in the topflight.

Speaking to the club's media after the match, the clinical winger revealed that he received a word of confidence from his coach before taking to the field.

"Today [Saturday] was good, although the game was not easy. But the coach spoke to me and told me that it's just 11 versus 11; it's the same as playing at Orlando Stadium

So, I just had to continue what I have been doing and I will get the goals and we are going to win.

"When we got here, it was not easy, but because I'm with the team, we are here in Algeria, it's my first time. I'm happy to have helped the team with the two goals.

"So, I want to thank everyone for helping me," says the hard-running youngster.
