Orlando Pirates' bank account is already guaranteed of a fat pay cheque in prize money after qualifying for the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
Pirates have gone through to the last eight for the fifth time in the premier club competition on the continent.

Into the last eight, the Soweto giants will have Pyramids, Esperance, Al Ahly, AS FAR, and Al Hilal for company with Mamelodi Sundowns/Raja Casablanca and either MC Alger or Young Africans to join.
A place in the quarterfinals means USD900 000 (approximately R17 million) in the bank for Pirates.
This is what all teams that reach this stage of the competition are guaranteed of getting.
Should they proceed to the semi-finals, then the purse gets to USD1,2 million (approx. R23 million).

The runners-up will get USD2 million (approx. R38 million) and with the champions cheque standing at USD4 million (approx. R77 million).
Pirates already have R10 million for winning the MTN8 and remain in the race for the R20 million on offer for winning the Betway Premiership.
