Supporters Forum: Vusumuzi "Msobho" Sithole

In this edition of the Supporters Forum, KickOff engages in a conversation with Vusumuzi "Msobho" Sithole, a dedicated supporter of Orlando Pirates, delving into his enduring allegiance to the Sea Robbers.

The prominent KwaZulu-Natal businessman expresses his fervent desire for the entire Orlando Pirates team to visit his residence, where he plans to extend hospitality by serving them delectable food and refreshments.

Supporter's Name?

"My full name is Vusumuzi Robert Sithole. I hail from Greytown, where I have established my home. Presently, I am employed in Stanger and am self-employed, owning both a tavern and a shop."

Which club do you support?

"I was destined for Pirates; I have never harbored affection for any other club aside from Pirates."

How long have you been a supporter?

"Since birth. I have always admired their style of play and the allure of our jersey. The colors are captivating. Do you recall when I used to wear Rudi Krol's peach shirt? It was quite distressing when he departed Pirates; I was uncertain about my attire.

"After careful consideration, I opted for a Zulu woman's attire. Initially, I felt a bit shy donning the female Zulu traditional wear—comprising a skirt and a bra. I was unsure of my wife and mother-in-law's reaction. However, I must say those clothes suited me well.

"The letters KDM on my attire simply represent KwaDukuza Municipality."How do you feel about the leadership?

"At the moment, it's challenging to express. There has been improvement, and Screamer Tshabalala is performing admirably."

What are your thoughts on the coach?

"Well, he still hasn't settled on his preferred starting eleven. I noticed this during our time in Botswana; he made substantial changes to the team."

How do you rate the players?

"I am content with the players; they are still performing well, despite the ongoing issue of scoring. I believe we can still clinch the league."

Any specific players you'd like them to sign?

"I don't see anyone here in South Africa. So, if it were up to me, I don't think we should sign anyone. Let's utilize the talents we already have. The constant influx of new players tends to destabilize teams.

"The sluggish start to Pirates' season was due to the new signings. They needed time to integrate with the players who performed well last season."

Your message to the team?

"To the players, my message is straightforward: approach every game with the expectation of securing a win. While attractive football is appreciated, ultimately, what matters is the victory."
