Two semi-final places in the CAF Champions League and Nedbank Cup, plus the possibility of lifting the league, has brought Orlando Pirates within sight of turning this season special for Jose Riveiro as he prepares to leave.
Pirates have a two-legged date with Pyramids FC in the last four of the Champions League confirmed, just like they also have Marumo Gallants in the Nedbank Cup semis on Sunday, while still chasing the Betway Premiership title.

It is turning into an adventure of thrills for Bucs – who already have the MTN8 in the bag this season.
“That is what comes with chasing success,” says Tapelo Xoki, the Pirates captain.
“We wanted to be in this position.
“It is tough because the travelling is a lot in-between games and there is not enough time to rest between games.
“But we are taking it on because it is something that we have always wanted and for us to be still in contention in three different competitions at this stage of the season speaks a lot about our group.
“We want to make sure that we continue being on the right path, create memories together, create history together and have something special to celebrate with him in the last few months with the coach.
“As a team, we take pride in ourselves as a unit, and it means a lot for us to be where we are.
“But then the job is not finished.
“We have a semi-final at hand, and we need to focus on the forthcoming games and then we put our focus there.

“We want to make history and leave the club in a better state.
“So, our goal now is to just keep working hard, put our hands down, stay grounded, stay humble, and continue to work as hard we can,” says Xoki.
