Having already missed out on Elias Mokwana and seen their bid for Cape Town Spurs' Asanele Velebayi rejected, Kaizer Chiefs are now set to miss out on another one of their priority targets in what's turning out to be a difficult window for them.
Chiefs are set to suffer their second major blow before the start of their season as priority signing Oswin Appollis looks set to complete a move up North.

Information reaching KickOff is that it is an Algerian team that has advanced in their talks to sign the 22-year-old, although several other clubs are also believed to still be in the race, including Esperance of Tunisia.
What can be confirmed is that the Bafana winger will not be joining a South African or PSL team for the 2024/25 season and the ensuing scenario puts an end to Amakhosi's attempts to lure him to Naturena.
Notably, Appollis started on the bench for Rise and Shine in their 1-0 MTN8 quarterfinal loss loss to Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday in what some have interpreted as the Limpopo-based outfit's attempts while talks over a transfer continue.
"This Appollis issue is now becoming a big issue for me. in fact," coach Phuti Mohafe said when asked about the winger's late introduction, during the post-match press conference.
"But I think every team has its way of doing things and with Oswin, it's no different to the way we want to do things.
"But I think all in all, it was in (based on) the tactical aspects of the match," he added.
