The Limpopo club are enjoying a great start to the season after collecting six points in their opening four matches.
"It's going to be difficult today, but we will not just fold our arms and roll over," Polokwane assistant coach Phuti Mohafe tells KickOff.
"So, we are going there to fight, we will try by all means to be victorious, We need to be the first team to beat Sundowns.
"We know that we don't have a strong team in terms of matching Sundowns' quality, but we have to be strong for the sake of the province.
"When you are playing such a team you need to be cautious you can't just go all out.
"What we know is we are not going into today's match as a sacrificial lamb; we want to catch them by surprise.
"Ya playing against such a team it's a motivation on its own. But that's said you still have to motivate them.
"You need to bring positivity into their minds. Sundowns is beating everyone, so you have to motivate your players a bit.
"You need to tell them, guys let's go there and be the first team to beat Sundowns, Let's go there and break the record.
"Today we need to go there and be the party poopers.
"The same mistake all of us are doing when playing the big teams is fear. We want to cut out the element of fear.
"To win the match we will need to play fearlessly and aggressively. But you cannot go all out and press them up to the final whistle.
"You have to vary your play, what I know is even then they do have weaknesses."
Kick-off is at 17:00.
