Marumo Gallants FC and Richards Bay FC could not be separated after playing to a goalless in Betway Premiership action on Saturday night.
Striking duo Daniel Msendami and Kamohelo Mahlatsi were recalled by the host with Thapelo Dhludhlu and Monde Mphambaniso dropped, as the Natal Rich Boys named Thabiso Kutumela on the dugout and restored Moses Mthembu.
Marumo looked to hit the ground running on five minutes through Thapelo Mokobodi following a short free-kick, but the midfield ace snapped his lines.
The Natal Rich Boys seek to go one better six minutes apart from the head of Simphiwe Mcineka off Thulani Gumede's delivery, but he pulled well over the mark.
Mthembu nearly justified his inclusion moments later through a long-range effort from a loose pass, but it fizzled off target - seeing the opposite number Salim Magoola unbothered.
The host regained momentum in the latter exchanges of the half before seeing Msendami snapped a clever delivery from the area wide of the mark.
Msendami caused more problems after halftime where his runs in the channels forced the visitors to hold a line as well as remain compact at the back.
However, not all was lost for the travelling charges who could've taken the lead when a close-range effort from Yanela Mbuthuma flashed narrowly across target.
Richards Bay strengthened their attack even further amidst the momentum and opted to bring on Kutumela for Lindokuhle Zikhali.
The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns man intensified matters thus could've make the opening from Mthembu's delivery, but he angled off target.
Despite the moments either side, neither were able to get through to one another and settled for a point apiece.
