Mamelodi Sundowns secured a ninth successive win in the Betway Premiership after defeating Tshwane rivals SuperSport United 3-0 on Wednesday evening.
Masandawana handed starts to Asekho Tiwani, Mosa Lebusa, Tashreeq Matthews, Jayden Adams and Peter Shalulile following Sunday's big win over Golden Arrows.
Lucas Ribeiro almost opened the scoring on five minutes through a powerful shot from the area, but goalkeeper Thakasani Mbanjwa palmed onto the upright.
Adams opened up his account on his first start for Masandawana after latching onto a cross in the area before lobbing the ball into the far corner of the net.
FShalulile was unfortunate not to make it two moments later with a point-blank shot from an unforced error that came off the base of the post.
Matsatsantsa showed courage amidst the difficult spell and were unfortunate not to go level when a powerful free-kick from Gape Moralo clattered off the upright.
Sundowns strengthened control a minute to halftime where a route-one from Ronwen Williams fell straight to Shalulile, who laid off first-time for Matthews to roll in the net.
The league leaders remained in control and added a third goal when Ribeiro once again left the defence at sea to layoff first-time for Matthews to tap in off the post and complete his brace.
One-time SuperSport winger Thapelo Maseko came close to making it four with a left-footed curler from a tight angle, but Mbanjwa smothered effectively.
Masandawana continued to have the lion share of momentum, as Matsatsantsa targeted a revival and camped persistently in the attacking half.
It got worse for Matsatsantsa though when youngster Siyabonga Ndebele got his marching orders for a seemingly off the ball incident.
Sundowns marched to a dominant victory and remained sixth-points clear at the top, with Matsatsansa suffering a fourth successive league defeat.
