Mlungisi Ngubane has made an appeal to the South African Football Association to get rid of what he calls 'rotten potatoes' from their refereeing panel.
Bad officiating is currently under the spotlight in South Africa as match officials continue to make headlines for all the wrong reasons since the season started.

There is fear that if left unattended, the poor officiating might end up discouraging fans from coming to stadiums.
"I don't think we still have referees who take brown envelopes because they know they will be arrested," Ngubane says.
"These referees are just making mistakes because they are human beings. We should improve the referees by making their refresher courses practical instead of theoretical.
"Like the recent complaints, they are not about Stellenbosch FC being robbed, they are about Orlando Pirates winning the MTN8 for a third time in a row.
"Referees are not bribed, they just need to correct their mistakes. Abongile Tom is a FIFA referee, he is just out of form," adds the former dribbling wizard for Durban Bush Bucks.
Ngubane goes on to suggest that once a referee makes a mistakes, then that referee should be given a warning by SAFA.
"If he makes a mistake for the second time, he should be suspended, and if he continues to make another mistake for the third time, then he should be fired.
"You make the first mistake, we understand. A second mistake, we are confused now. The third mistake, it's unacceptable. You are not fit enough to be in this league.
"Don't demote him to the ABC Motsepe League, just fire him. He must be banned. That's the solution.

"That's what the Labour Law says: three mistakes, you are fired. The first and second mistake is we call you to a meeting, but the third mistake, we fire you.
"Bad referees should be fired from football, regardless of who they are."
