DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have now gone three games without a win after battling back to secure a 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows.
The Brazilians continued to ring the changes as Cassius Mailula, Bongani Zungu, Marcelo Allende Sifiso Ngobeni and gave Abdelmounaim Boutouil were handed starts, while Nqubeko Dlamini made his 50th appearance for Arrows.
Masandawana were close to break their scoring drought around 20 minutes when Domingo cut-inside to get a shot away from a clever angle, but Arrows goalkeeper Sifiso Mlungwana tipped away.
However, the host went ahead four minutes later after a low cross in the area from Divine Lunga allowed Ryan Moon to drop a shoulder and rifle in off Ronwen Williams' hand.
The opining goal arrived with the Brazilians a man short as Bongani Zungu suffered a knock from an aerial clash and was withdrawn for Sipho Mbule.
Ethiopian international Abubeker Nasir was very close to drawing the visitors level with a low shot off a pass from Allende in the area, but he dragged wide three minutes to the break. undowns were re-charged after the break and came within inches to draw level through a close-range shot by Nasir, but Mlungwana rushed out and thwarted.
Mlungwana courted the Brazilians again after a few minutes when he pulled off another point-blank stop off an effort from a tight angle by Mailula.
The frustration in front of goal forced the champions to strengthen their attack and in came Gaston Sirino as well as Lebohang Maboe midway inside the second stanza.
Sundowns kept probing and levelled inside 73 minutes when a thumping header from Mbule off Allende's corner burst through the gloves of Mlungwana.
Masandawana went close to getting the winner in the last five minutes when substitute Siyabonga Mabena side-footed off the upright from a tight angle.
The league champions pushed relentlessly for the winner ahead of the final whistle, but had to settle for a point as Abafana Besthende refused to back down.
