Kaizer Chiefs were unable to claim a third straight win after going down 1-0 to Sekhukhune United on Saturday evening.
Young Samkelo Zwane got another start for the Glamour Boys following the win over Golden Arrows, while Edwin Gyimah and goalkeeper Badra Sangare returned for the visitors.
Sekhukhune threatened first on just two minutes after Chibuike Ohizu found space behind Edmilson Dove and battered the side-netting with a speculative shot from a tight angle.
The Amakhosi showed up later on and a short free-kick on the edge of the area had Reeve Frosler fire in a low shot which Sangare parried only for Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana to misjudged the rebound.
Immediately at the other end, Sekhukhune pulled wide with Victor Letsoalo charging through from a first-time pass and cutting inside to work goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune to a save.
Chiefs should've broken the deadlock three minutes from the half-hour mark when an unmarked Bimenyimana headed a pin-point cross wide off the near post.
Babina Noko, though, went ahead five minutes inside the second half as a stray pass across the area by Dove allowed Vusimuzi Mncube to intercept and charge forward before firing in off Khune.
The Amakhosi as expected searched for a quick reply, but the travelling outfit held their lines and kept the tie intact whilst Mduduzi Shabalala replaced Keagan Dolly.
Sekhukhune didn't crack from the relentless pressure brought on by the Amakhosi with Sangare parrying Zwane's long range strike before Dove hit the back of the side-netting.
Sangare was to the home side's rescue again when he palmed Sifiso Hlanti's telling header off a floated ball in the area away from target with ten minutes to go.
Chiefs were caught in the last two minutes and needed Khune off his line to smother Abednego Mosiatlhaga before Sangare parried a low long-range drive from Maart, as it finished 1-0 to men from Limpopo.
