Cape Town Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou has put the record straight on why the club did not sign Cameroonian-born striker Bienvenu Eva Nga.
The out-of-favour forward is looking for a move away from the Buccaneers and the club is willing to listen to offers.
The 30-year-old is finding it difficult to nail down a place in Pirates match-day day squads and would have added much-needed firepower to the Spurs strikeforce.

Spurs are currently stuck at the bottom of the Premier Soccer League table but remain hopeful to come out of the relegation zone alive.
"Eva Nga we just enquired about him that's all," Efstathiou tells KickOff.
"We just discussed with Pirates to find out if he is available and they said it was possible.
"And then we just enquired about what the financial obligations were, and they were not in our financial ability.
"He is not within our financial budget. There was a possible loan deal.

"We will see who we can get as our plan B. That's how football is. Something is going to happen and something is not going to happen.
"Well, the books don't balance between income and expenditure. It's getting harder every year in the transfer market.
"You can't just keep on spending when there is no income coming in.
"If you are spending more than you earn in a long time you are going to have a problem."
