Official: Hunt's 1000th game called off!

The Betway Premiership encounter between SuperSport United and Golden Arrows has been called off due to floodlight failure at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

Before the match, there were no threat of floodlight issues as it started on time until around the 22nd minute when the officiating team ordered the teams off as the lights had gone out due to load-shedding.

With no generator at the venue, the officials in-conjunction with captains and coaches of the teams decided to play the remaining minutes of the first half.

However, with no lights not visible following the second half – the match commissioner Lebogang Daniels and match officials called off the game with the score at 1-1.

"The game has been called off after just 45 minutes of play," Arrows announced on X.

"The players have not returned to the field for the second half, with the referee coming onto the field to call the game off.  We will update you ASAP on the way forward
