With the PSL season reaching its conclusion, there are stats which could already be indicating who is likely to win Player of the Season awards.
Even though the most coveted end of the season player awards are judged differently, a summary of the Player of the Month accolades could give a hint on who has been the most outstanding performer, particularly in the league.
The PSL Footballer of the Season is judged and voted for by all PSL coaches and includes performances in all competitions while the Players' Player of the Season is voted for by players themselves in the league.

However, KickOff compiled a summary of Betway Premiership Player of the Month awards since the start of the season, to get an indication on which has player has been the most outstanding, at least in the league.
As things stand, Mamelodi Sundowns forward Lucas Ribeiro Costa is a leading candidate with two monthly awards.
Costa won the first monthly award for September and October, after scoring four goals and delivered two assists to help Masandawana stay top of the table.
The Brazilian beat other nominees in that period, all Orlando Pirates players, Relebohile Mofokeng, Deon Hotto and goalkeeper Sipho Chaine, who were all involved in helping Pirates win all their first six matches.
Costa also won the monthly award for February 2025 for eight goal contributions, after he scored five and had three assist, beating fellow teammate Iqraam Rayners, Keletso Makgalwa of Sekhukhune United, who were the other nominees.

Other players who have won the monthly award includes Rayners, who won the award for November/December 2024 ahead of Mofokeng and Hendrick Ekstein, who were also considered.
Sekhukhune striker Andy Boyeli walked away with the Player of the Month for January after scoring four goals, including a hat-trick against SuperSport United.
The March recipient of the award went to Magesi goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze, who kept four clean sheets in four matches, to inspire Dikwena out of the relegation zone.
Should Costa win at least one more monthly award in the next two months, he could be backed by these stats as the overwhelming favourite for big end of the season player awards.
