TS Galaxy's Given Msimango reveals advice Letsholonyane gave him

The pair were teammates at Highlands Park, where Msimango arrived in 2017 as a young inexperienced defender.

In September 2019, Reneilwe Letsholonyane also arrived at the club, although at the opposite end of his career following his spells at Supersport United, Kaizer Chiefs and Jomo Cosmos.

They were teammates once more at TS Galaxy following the sale of Highlands Park before Yeye hung up his boots.

"I'm a quiet guy so I was worried how I would execute the role of captain," Msimango told snl24.com/kickoff.

"Yeye was one of the senior players at the club and you could get good advice from him," Msimango adds.

"He told me that I don't have to be loud to be a good captain but I have to make sure that my performances motivate my teammates. He told me to lead by example on the field. That advice helped me a lot."

Letsholonyane spent most of his career at Kaizer Chiefs where he became a mainstay in the AmaKhosi midfield. He made 183 appearances for the Soweto Giants and won 7 seven trophies during his stay and was part of the Bafana Bafana at the 2010 World Cup and the 2013 AFCON squad.

Msimango himself was heavily linked with a move to Naturena recently. But after delays over an official bid from the AmaKhosi and reassurances from TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi, the 25-year-old opted to sign a renewed contract offered by The Rockets.
