In this week's Weekend Wrap, the spotlight falls on the Lucas Ribeiro show as Mamelodi Sundowns humbled Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs bagging a vital victory, and Magesi FC finally winning a football match.
Ribeiro steals show
The highly anticipated encounter between Sundowns and Pirates at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday lived up to its billing, except that all the plaudits went to the home side.

A Lucas Ribeiro Costa brace as well as further strikes from Grant Kekana and Teboho Mokoena were enough to see off the Sea Robbers, who registered a consolation goal via Deon Hotto.
For in-form Ribeiro, the brace was the eighth and ninth goal of the season, stretching his lead as the league's current top scorer. It was unsurprising then that the 26-year-old walked out to a round of applause from both sets of supporters when he was substituted in the second half.
The victory also stretches The Brazilians' lead at the top of the standings to nine points, though second-placed Bucs have a game in hand.

New signings rescues Chiefs
Amakhosi returned to winning form with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Stellenbosch FC at a sold-out Athlone Stadium on Friday. An early first half goal from new signing Glody Lilepo was enough to secure all three points and see the Soweto giants climb up to fourth on the table.
The DR Congo winger also walked away with the Man of the Match award after a lively performance in only his third appearance in the famous Gold and Black shirt.
Chiefs are understood to have forked out just under R10 million for the services of the speedy winger and club football manager Bobby Motaung believes there is more to come.

"It's early days, but it's why we signed them (new signings) – the reason is it is the quality we wanted. To help the young boys with experience and quality. That's all we wanted to do...," Motaung told SuperSport TV post-match.

Unstoppable Human shines again
AmaZulu FC climbed up to sixth spot on the Betway Premiership log with a 2-1 win over Marumo Gallants. Rowan Human and Wayde Jooste were on the score sheet.
For Human, it was a third consecutive goal contribution in as many games. He has been a live wire for the side in recent matches. The 26-year-old contributed a goal and assist in a 2-1 win over Sekhukhune United, and assisted both goals in a 2-2 draw against Kaizer Chiefs.

Bad to worse for Ertugral
Meanwhile, Cape Town City suffered a shock 2-0 loss to struggling Magesi FC at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday. Goals from Lehlohonolo Mtshali and Mcedi Vandala handed the Mother City outfit their third defeat in the last five encounter in what is turning out to be a disastrous start for Muhsin Ertugral at the club.
For Magesi, the win is a first in their last five outings and only a second of the season.
