For a lot of footballers, once the lights have switched off at the Big Three, there is diluted inspiration to keep going, but not so for Thabiso Kutumela.
Now 31, Kutumela came through at Baroka before moving to Orlando Pirates, Maritzburg United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Town City, and is now at Richards Bay FC.

He has enjoyed all that comes with winning silverware at Sundowns after also having spent three years at Pirates but must now grind his way on the coast.
"I know it is not easy for the other players, but for me, it is easy because I have been with smaller clubs before," says Kutumela about the psychological adjustments that he has had to make with this move.
"I have played for Baroka and Maritzburg, so nothing is changing with me mentally.
"I have to stay professional and do the job that I have been brought there to do.
"So, it is not difficult for me to go up and down.
"I'm someone who adjusts so fast to everything.
"Even if the facility is not okay, I'm a person who doesn't like to complain.
"There are some people out there who want this job, but I'm lucky that I have this job.
"If you keep complaining, then you are not going to help yourself.
"I'm still in South Africa, so it has been easy for me to adjust," says Kutumela, who has moved with his family again.

"I move with my family because my kids are still young… I have two boys aged two and three, so it is easier to move with them because they are not yet in primary.
"But for my wife, I must thank her.
"I feel for her but job yi job and this is what I love," Kutumela told KickOff after the Carling Knockout draw.
