In an exclusive interview with KickOff, Richards Bay FC head coach Brandon Truter addressed the growing rumours that his job might be on the line following indifferent results.
Truter led the Natal Rich Boyz to the semi-finals of the Carling Knockout, a significant achievement considering the club finished in the play-offs last season.
Last Saturday, they were eliminated by Magesi FC.

When asked about the rumors suggesting he might not remain with the club after the current FIFA break, Truter remained non-committal.
"Yes, it's there, but there is also nothing," he tells this publication.
Truter also responded to circulating images on social media showing Richards Bay chairman Jomo Biyela appearing upset and making hand gestures during last weekend's encounter.
"Yes, that's there. I can't comment on it, everyone can see. But I can tell you now, it was not directed at me. I was standing there, but that was not aimed at me."
The former Moroka Swallows and AmaZulu FC head coach explained the slow start to their 2024/25 campaign.
"If you put it into context and categorize where we are, you can see that it's a team in progress, a team that does not concede many goals at this moment.
"The goals we conceded this weekend against Magesi were due to individual errors, and the goal we conceded against Orlando Pirates was an individual mistake from the keeper [Ian Otieno] as well.
"The other goals came from set-plays - one from Pirates and one from Chippa United. So, it's very hard to break us down. We are solid defensively, and you could see that we were playing good football this weekend.
"You don't need video or data analysis to see that our problem is up front. We're not scoring goals. Last season, we scored only 24 goals in all competitions, and the previous season it was just 20. This issue of scoring goals has existed before. Now, how do we solve this problem? Do we continue with the same players or change it up and bring in better quality?

"With a new coach, we've improved our defence, our overall play, and our performance in the final third. We are creating chances, and if we were not doing that, it would be a problem. All the components are there, the only thing missing is the scoring of goals.
"In coaching, you can address this repeatedly, but the situation on the field is different. Richards Bay FC is a team in transition, having barely survived relegation last season. If there are teams in worse situations than yours, there's no need to panic. You simply need to sign players and try to resolve the issue."
