Richards Bay have confirmed the untimely passing of midfielder Siphamandla Mtolo, who understood to have collapsed at training.
The news was confirmed by the KwaZulu-Natal outfit in a statement released on Tuesday.
"It is with deep sadness to announce that Richards Bay football club has untimely lost one of the midfielders, Siphamandla 'Spepe' Mtolo [who] collapsed this morning during training," the statement read.
After not featuring for the squad at the start of the season until the end of 2022, the 29-year-old had returned to action and made nine appearances for the Natal Rich Boys since the start of the year.
Further the details have been withheld at this stage, the club added.
