The effects of the FIFA imposed transfer ban has left Royal AM sinking into relegation with head coach John Maduka walking in uncertainty about his future.
Royal AM have sunk to fourteenth place with only two wins from nine games and have now lost four in a row for only the second time in their short history playing in the DStv Premiership.

While Maduka will take the blame for the team's struggles the reality is that not being able to sign new players after losing Happy Jele, Ricardo Nascimento, Mthokozisi Dube, Elias Pelembe, Lantshene Phalane, Tshepo Rikhotso, and Tebogo Potsane was always going to take a toll on the team.
The transfer ban was imposed by FIFA after Royal AM failed to pay Samir Nurkovic for his unfair dismissal case that he won.
Royal AM have since chosen to contest the matter at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) where they must make a payment of approximately R1 million to have the case heard.

In the meanwhile, with results not forthcoming, Maduka has taken the stick with speculation linking Clinton Larsen with a return to KwaZulu-Natal.
Larsen has been going on with a smile on his face at Motsepe Foundation Championship club Magesi who are in the top four on the standings.
