Royal AM head coach John Maduka has thrown his support behind club chairman and player Andile Mpisane despite legitimate questions over his weight, talent alongside accusations of nepotism.
The 21-year-old was in action for the club's DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team over the weekend and speaking to media ahead of the the upcoming Nedbank Cup clash against Cape Town City, Maduka insisted that the musician-turned-footballer should be given a chance.

There have been a number of questions over Mpisane's fitness while being clearly overweight alongside whether he is talented enough to be a professional footballer, or if his selection is a case of nepotism.
"Look, he [Mpisane] is still young, he's a talented player," Maduka said.
"He's got potential. We can't run away from that. For us to be where we are, we started somewhere. So we'll give opportunities to everyone who raises their hand and says: 'I can do it'.
"We strongly believe he's one of the players that has got potential. He is talented."
Meanwhile, Royal AM welcomed the return of Maduka with their first win in three outings when they beat Golden Arrows 2-1 at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban on Saturday.
Thwihli Thwahla will hope to carry the momentum as they kick-off their Nedbank Cup campaign against the Citizens away, before returning to DStv Premiership action with a home fixture against SuperSport United.
