Royal AM could have another season to play without making any new signings with the issue relating to Ricardo Nascimento having stagnated.
Nascimento took up his contract dispute against Royal AM to FIFA last year after failed attempts to resolve the matter amicably with the club.

The world governing body then ruled in favour of Nascimento with an award of R600 000 (effective September 2023 with an interest of 5% per annum).
However, Royal AM still didn't comply and were then subsequently handed a three-window transfer ban in January 2024 following which they requested a motivated decision from FIFA before subsequently withdrawing their CAS appeal.
Almost a year later, the issue is still pending with the club having engaged Leruma Thobejane of Botha Massyn and Thobejane Attorneys and Eben Koen from BDP Attorneys in seeking to resolve the matter.
Thobejane has insisted Nascimento's case is settled but FIFA haven't lifted the ban.
"The FIFA decision is in full force, with the transfer ban active," Pedro Felipe Gomes da Silva, partner of RA Law firm based in Sao Paulo, Brazil who represent Nascimento tells KickOff.com.
True to Pedro Felipe's words, Royal AM's ban is still in place according to the latest FIFA registration bans list which has a three-window ban (effective January 15, 2024).
The agent who negotiated Nascimento's deal – Marcelo Robalinho, has entered the fray in complicating the case after he wasn't paid his 6% commission when the Brazilian moved from Sundowns to Royal AM at the beginning of 2022.
"The club (Royal AM) also failed to pay the intermediary fee agreed, yet the president of the club agreed to pay the fee and after that refused to sign the agreement.
"Our intention is to settle both matters concurrently.
"We will wait for them until they respond to us," says Pedro Felipe.

Royal AM have another case for a significantly bigger amount relating to Samir Nurkovic awaiting an outcome from the Court of Arbitration (CAS) after the club appealed FIFA's ruling.
The update from CAS this week extended the deadline for awarding of the decision to September 13 from the initial July 15 after the case was heard on May 13.
